Evaluation of population data and patient records produce vast amounts of information which becomes useful when put in context with the test results. This flood of data and information is too extensive to be absorbed by a single person. This opens up an opportunity for Roche Diagnostics to filter, enhance and condense this data, so that the customer has a ready-for-use solution at his hand.
Recent developments in genomics and proteomics are creating opportunities to screen more accurately for risk factors of many common diseases. We want to take full advantage of these new technologies and to shape the markets of the future. We will broaden our business perspective by moving from acute medical care to prevention. Leveraging technological advances in order to assess risk exposure more accurately and develop improved prevention strategies is one of our options.
